BIOSKETCH
Pathologist in the department of virology, National Health Laboratory Service and University of KwaZulu-Natal, based at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital since 2017. Primarily involved in the diagnostic virology laboratory providing a consultative service, oversees the HIV drug resistance testing bench, involved in laboratory management, quality assurance, virology outreach support, teaching and training as well as being involved in research. Research interests include human papillomavirus (HPV) in head and neck cancers, HIV drug resistance, diagnostic virology, maternal and child health.
