We are involved in teaching at undergraduate (MBChB, BSc Biomedical Science) and postgraduate levels (MMed, MMedSci and PhD). We provide Work Integrated Learning for Laboratory Technicians, Technologists and Medical Scientists. We participate in Provincial Continuing Professional Development activities.
We engage in:
Consultative Diagnostic Services including the diagnosis, treatment, prevention and control of viral diseases in KwaZulu-Natal
Dynamic research platforms including our work in viral genomics, translational science and operational challenges
Comprehensive teaching and learning platforms including our undergraduate and postgraduate medical, science and technology programmes.
