The symposium will take a translational approach to highlight the burden of cancers driven by viral Infections and discuss relevant oncogenic viruses research and implementation of interventions in sub-Saharan Africa. The scientific meeting will have thematic seminars and abstract driven presentations as well as a practical workshop targeted at post-graduate students.

• Epidemiology of leading oncogenic viruses in sub-Saharan Africa
• Human Papillomavirus related cancer research
• Hepatitis B & C related cancer research
• Gamma Herpesviruses (Epstein Barr and Kaposi’s Sarcoma) related cancers
• Implementation research on elimination of oncogenic viruses (prevention & treatment)
